Posted - 07/05/2006 : 11:47:13 AM I'm currently developing a small business (from the ground up), and trying to get as much information on how to become an offical sponsor for some of the fighters, dojos, etc. Anyone that has files or miscellaneous links that relates to this, please send it to kamikaze_mma@yahoo.com
If you put money on a fighter, does that make you a sponsor? Is it giving him/her free equipment? Offering fighters insurance policies? It just seems like the lines between being an affiliate and a sponsor are blurred, and I need clarification. |

I would love to sponsor a lot of fighters from this organization. I just want to have all the legal matters covered, and enough available resources to cover all of my endeavors. |

I could pay fighters to wear my gear. I want to eventually offer packaged deals to fighters. I've been getting a lot of information from sponsorship.com so far, which has helped me so much. Plus the sponsorship information for ECF Gary posted online is very helpful. |

Posted - 07/05/2006 : 1:46:19 PM To sponsor something is to support an event, activity, person or organization by providing money or other resources in exchange for something, usually advertising or publicity, and always access to an audience. You would be considered an Affiliate of Elite Cage Fighting if you were to sponsor a fighter that is fighting at an Elite Cage Fighting event. Generally to be a sponsor of anything (fighter, event) you cough up at least 15% towards all expenses that incur. Or in the case of sponsoring a fighter, it could be as simple as paying for there fighting shorts and printing your companies logo on them. Sponsoring a Dojo would be alot more involved, and would defintely be more of a financial burden. Unless youre company is in the market of equiptment and or Martial arts items.
What Type of small business are you starting?
I hope this helped you and good luck. |
